Melbourne

Premises/
Facilities
Hales Institute students are trained in bright, spacious,
well-equipped classrooms in the city's centre. Our modern Hairdressing Salon,
located on the ninth floor, provides our Diploma students with everything they
require at their fingertips as well as a great view of Melbourne. For our
Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management (THH60202) we provide two venues,
accredited by the appropriate Authorities, where students have their practical training:
a. The Victorian Museum Catering premises, Nicholson Street, Carlton and b.
Hellas Cake Shop, 322 Lennox Street, Richmond. Hales Institute has current
equipment in audiovisual technology and resources. Our Computer Laboratories
are equipped with a network of modern computers each having industry standard
software and fast DSL Internet access.

University Pathways
At Hales Institute we help our students gain the necessary
qualifications and credit transfer to Universities. In accordance with the
Australian Qualification Framework, graduates of a Hales Institute Diploma or
Advanced Diploma may be accepted into any Australian University. Specifically
for our Information Technology students, Swinburne University of Technology and
Hales Institute have an articulation agreement that enables successful
graduates of Hales Diploma of Technology courses to gain credit towards
selected degrees at Swinburne. This allows for an even easier access to further
university.

If you are employed, your employment reference should be
authenticated and certified by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs; and A good conduct certificate from the General Intelligence
Department, certified by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs; Recommendation letters and any employment experience certificates,
preferably related to the major of future
studies.

Health examination after lodging your application at the
embassy if required (at one of the doctors assigned by the Australian
government).
Must provide a proof of participation in health
insurance (a receipt or any other proof of payment, the insurance should start
when the student arrives to Australia).
Proof of your
English proficiency, IELETS exam with score of 5.5 or equivalent. Or a
certificate of enrollment in an ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for
Overseas Students), course before your main
course.
Please provide certified English translations of
all Arabic-language supporting documents. All photocopied documents must be
accompanied by the original to be sighted at lodgment.
**you may also need to provide other supporting documents
on request from the Embassy.

Visa processing
requirements
To assist us in processing your application, please ensure
that you provide complete information at time of application. Note you will
need to complete an Aramex Domestic Waybill on lodgment of your application at
the embassy. Your decision will be delivered to you by Aramex in approximately
three months (fee JOD2 cash on delivery).
You need to
provide:-
completed visa application form 157A (downloadable from
www.immi.gov.au)
• A certified copy of your passport plus your passport.
•
Four recent passport sized photographs (45mm×35mm) and the name
of
the person printed at the back of each photograph. (less
than 6 months
old).
• A letter of provisional offer
from the college.
• Confirmation of enrollment letter.
•
Acceptable evidence of funds (Bank statement
showing the
transactions of the last 3-6
months).
• A copy of your
qualification and academic
transcript showing
your academic results from
your most recent qualification
(all copies
certified by the Ministry of Higher Education
and
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
• A family census
detailing your parents and
siblings.
• A penal
certificate from the Court of Justice,
certified by the
Ministry of Justice and the
Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.
• A good conduct certificate from the
General
Intelligence Department, certified by
the
Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of
Foreign
Affairs.
